Shop History

Rooted in the University of Coimbra living culture and, consequently, in the history of the city itself, the República do Kuarenta Association integrates a group of university residences sheltering the student community, institutionally linked to the University of Coimbra. Founded in 1975, the recognition order was granted by the Coimbra University Dean on the 17th February 1982.

Products and Services

True replacement communities, alternative households from those left in hometown, the Repúblicas (communal houses for students) are more than just student or university residences, representing the traditional academic life of Coimbra, with all that this entails, from the bohemian life to the ideological aspects.
