The Shop

Founded in 1927, as Mercearia Nacional, it is a historic store in downtown Lisbon, which has been passed down from generation to generation. It is currently managed by Jaime Vaz, the grandson of the founder, Serafim Vaz. Throughout the 80’s he began to specialize in wines, becoming in 1990 the Garrafeira Nacional. This store has a small museum that houses a priceless collection of bottles that can be admired and purchased by any enthusiast
