Parreirinha de Alfama was used as a charcoal factory and a pasture house, but over the decades following the 1950s, it became a reference place for lovers of fado and good food by the hand of a legend of classic fado – Argentina Santos.

Shop History

In the house of Argentina Santos, gatherings were held, good traditional food was enjoyed, and people sang late into the night. The voices of Amália Rodrigues, Lucília do Carmo, Alfredo Marceneiro, Berta Cardoso, Tristão da Silva, Celeste Rodrigues, Maria da Fé, Beatriz da Conceição, among many others, passed through here.
