Headquartered in the Municipal Market since 1961, it is currently one of the reference houses of the famalicense commerce. A family company, it has been a fundamental partner in the life of many people from Famalicão, especially those engaged in agricultural activities.

Shop History

In the Famalicão newspaper of 28 January 1961, we read "Our dear friend
and assistant Mr. Manuel Pinto da Costa, a nice ex-employee of Carvalho
Pharmacy, from rua de Santo António, in this town, has just established a drugstore in the building of the Municipal Market in this town. This well situated establishment opens next Monday, the 30th, and in it the public will find a wide assortment of national and foreign pharmaceutical specialties, perfumery, drugs and paints for construction and it will be, we are sure of it, an establishment to which a great future is reserved". The excellence of the offer and the experience in the compounding of drug and pesticide products for agriculture make it sought after by customers from various regions of the country. It is frequently that farmers, especially those with vineyards and fruit trees, come to Drogaria Pinto, requesting chemical and other preparations for the ‘ills’ existing in crops and plantations.
