The Shop

Estúdios Rangel are located at Rua da Póvoa 457/459 and they are an example of success in the Portuguese music industry. They were born from the persistence of their founder – Fernando Rangel, who worked at Rádio Renascença as a radio operator. It was there that he created and developed the programme "Estúdio d’Ensaio" (Rehearsal Studio), while dreaming of his own recording studio. He managed to make this dream come true when in 1965 he founded, together with José Manuel Nunes Fortes, the firm Fortes & Rangel, Lda. In 1969, the management became the exclusive responsibility of Fernando Torres Rangel, who managed the company until his death in 2011.

Estúdios Rangel stand out for its antiquity and excellent acoustic conditions, technical knowledge and experience, currently guaranteed by the founder’s daughter, Cláudia Rangel. The services offered include audio production and post-production, such as recording, editing and mixing; voiceover, dubbing and audio recording services; audio mastering; jingles and advertising spots; transcription and restoration of recordings; sound design for television, cinema, theatre, dance and other shows, audio books, documentaries, school manuals and didactic material, among others.
Estúdios Rangel are a reference in the artistic world, having worked with big names in the Portuguese musical panorama such as Sérgio Godinho, José Mário Branco, Jorge Palma, Mafalda Veiga, Trabalhadores do Comércio, Táxi, Pedro Abrunhosa, Blind Zero, Rui Veloso, Ornatos Violeta, Manel Cruz, Best Youth, José Cid, João Lóio, maestro Vítor Dias (Pequenos Cantores da Maia (Choir of the Young Singers of Maia)), Os Azeitonas, Tiago Nacarato, Salvador Sobral and Bárbara Tinoco. More recently, the latest work by the group Vozes da Rádio was recorded there, featuring artists such as Ivan Lins and MPB4.
Estúdios Rangel are an example of persistence and success, still being a reference in the artistic world in Portugal, remaining in business for over half a century.
