Shop History

It was in the distant year of 1902 that Casa Brasileira opened its doors at the hands of Domingos Amorim Viana. Son of the land (born in Santa Marta de Portuzelo on April 5, 1872), he soon became involved in commercial activity, being admitted to a grocery store on Rua de S. Sebastião (currently Rua de Manuel Espregueira) under the influence of his uncle. His desire and aspirations led Domingos Amorim Viana to leave for Porto, where he got a job in a confectionery shop, where he acquired much of the knowledge that would make his business famous.

Products and Services

The famous Sidónios (named after Sidónio Pais, who died in 1918), cakes made from almonds, sugar and eggs, whose patent was registered precisely in the name of Casa Brasileira.
