The Shop

Located at 30 Rua da Artilharia 1, La Campania has over 40 years of history and has established itself as a benchmark in Lisbon’s dining scene. Over the decades, it has welcomed notable figures such as Amália Rodrigues and the painter Maluda, and continues to serve as a meeting point for public figures, businesspeople and artists.
An icon of Italian and Portuguese gastronomy in Lisbon, it has maintained high quality standards since its foundation, under the guidance of one of its founding partners. It stands out for its warm, family-friendly atmosphere, as well as its simple, thematically inspired décor.

Shop History

La Campania’s original concept was to introduce Italian-based Mediterranean cuisine to Lisbon, enriched by influences from Portuguese gastronomic tradition, reflecting a balanced interplay between authenticity and adaptation to the local context. This approach proved successful, with the restaurant gaining recognition among gastronomy enthusiasts of various nationalities, including Italians.
The diverse menu goes beyond pizzas and pastas, featuring specialties such as ossobuco, codfish à La Campania, tripe Florentine and the chef’s sirloin. The chef’s steak, served with French fries and homemade fresh pasta, is often regarded by many customers as one of the best in Lisbon.
