The Shop

The octogenarian Lodge presents a huge coloring of the exposed seed packets and the machinery and garden utensils distributed throughout the space. It reflects the colors of nature and its enormous diversity. Here the past and the present are combined in harmony.

Shop History

Founded in 1933 by the brothers Alípio and Guilherme Dias with the designation of Alípio Dias & Irmão, Lda, now known as A Sementeira. Already in the third generation involved in the business sought to follow the times and expanded on different fronts, in addition to the establishment of Mouzinho da Silveira, have created a warehouse with sale in Arcozelo and have a network of distributors and agents throughout the country. A Sowing, works with Warehouses, Wholesalers, Garden Center, City Councils, Municipal Companies, Cooperatives, Garden Companies and Clients.
The company is endowed with tradition and experience in the field of seeds and its complements, such as technical and consulting services and its workshop for the maintenance of lawnmowers.
It has established partnerships with other countries and experienced Portuguese farmers in the field to grow crops to obtain new varieties. Many of these new varieties are listed in official national and European seed catalogs. It also develops the same type of work adapted to African countries, especially Mozambique and Angola.
