The Shop

Alcino Silversmith is a century-old company that works with silver with creativity and tradition. Recognized by the quality of the work it develops and the exclusivity of the pieces. They are characteristics that already preserve throughout 6 generations that with the respect in the traditions were and are able to project the future. Recently in addition to the shop / workshop of origin they opened a luxurious shop in the Hotel Intercontinental Porto – Palácio das Cardosas. The pieces created and produced by the hands of experienced goldsmiths win an increasingly international audience. In 2017 inaugurates the second store in the same building of the Workshop, Rua Santos Pousada nº 76, Porto. This space allows customers to familiarize themselves with the history and the workshop, while knowing the range of products of the brand.

Shop History

In 1902 Manuel Alcino Sousa e Silva founded his own workshop in Rua Barão de S. Cosme, and established a partnership with his children. Raul Alcino and Alcino Sousa e Silva Porto in 1911. In 1935 Manuel Alcine took over the direction and transferred the workshop to Rua de S. Victor nº 17 in the parish of Bonfim. In 1960, he created the Group of Renewal of Sacred Art, a Specialization that continues until today. In 1966 Manuel Alcino Figueiredo Moutinho installed the workshop in its current location, Rua Santos Pousada nº 76. For the prestige of this workshop they received invitations for the design and manufacture of several commemorative pieces as a sword in silver with a steel blade, and applications of ivory and filigree of gold with enamel, a set of commemorative medals of the XVII European Exhibition of Art Science and Culture, among many others. Several of his creations integrate important national and international exhibitions. It is in this workshop that magic happens through the hands of experienced and creative goldsmiths.
