It maintains the production of traditional smoked sausages, producing small quantities to maintain quality.

Shop History

Casa Cavalheiro, created around 1918, is a family business founded by Manuel Fernandes Cavalheiro, which would later belong to his son José Fernandes Cavalheiro and which, after his death in 1997, was managed by Manuel Luís Cavalheiro, grandson of the founder.
The shop, located in the building that was once the founder’s house, is still known today for the sausages production, keeping the traditional smokehouse in the back.
Over the years, the shop, which is already in the third generation of the family, has undergone some transformations to conserve the space, always maintaining the original design as well as the tradition of welcoming and personalized service from customers and friends.

Products and Services

At Casa Cavalheiro local and national products are sold, like traditional smoked sausages, cheeses, wine, olive oil, honey and handicrafts. It is a place where everything happens, as regional products tastings, book launches, cultural activities related to music, poetry among others.
