Casa da Mariquinhas is located in the heart of the city, in the typical Sé neighborhood, opposite the Arco de Santana, immortalized by Almeida Garrett and at the foot of the Cathedral of Porto. With 50 years of history, this mythical place exudes fado through the pores of the granite walls, here and there pass and continue to pass all the great names of the national fado, which without microphones, with the most intimacy and proximity to the public, make the Casa da Mariquinhas is the ideal place to enjoy the best fado that is sung and played by the port, accompanied by the best traditional Portuguese cuisine.

Shop History

Founded in 1968 by Heitor Gil Vilhena, a Porto personality who also founded other houses and became known not only for his business aspect but also for his activity as an actor, having played some roles in the first soap operas of national production. About ten years ago she was acquired by the son of one of the fado singers who regularly performed there, with the stage name Fanny Ramos and who is now part of the management of this house.
