The Shop

Founded in 1840 by Manuel Moreira Garcia, Cervejaria Trindade, located on Rua Nova da Trindade, is considered the oldest brewery in Lisbon. Set within a historic space richly decorated with azulejos, the establishment stands as one of the most iconic breweries in the country.
After being acquired by the Portugália Restauração Group in 2007, the premises underwent a process of conservation and renovation, reopening in 2022 with a renewed image, positioning, and gastronomic offering.

Shop History

With around 185 years of activity, Trindade holds a prominent place in the commercial history of Lisbon. Among its key historical milestones are the former Trindade Brewery, founded in 1836, its appointment as a supplier to the Royal Household in 1854, and various institutional recognitions throughout the 20th century.
Today, it is regularly featured in international tourist guides, remaining an essential reference in Lisbon’s brewing tradition.
