Shop History

Farmacia Garcia is located since 1914 until today, in what was considered the heart of Figueira da Foz – Luís de Camões Square, better known as Old Square.
One of the local newspapers, A Voz da Justiça (The Voice of Justice) of April 17, 1914, announces that Mário Garcia da Rosa has just opened a pharmacy in Largo Luiz de Camões.
The pharmacy also had an Analyses Section of which Carlos Garcia da Rosa, his father, graduated in Pharmacy and also did clinical analyses. Today, the pharmacy continues to offer this service on its 1st floor.
On March 28, 1934, in the Book for records of the licenses of signs and tablets, we still see the name of Mario Garcia da Rosa associated with this Pharmacy, which today belongs to Dr. Rogéria Campos who proudly exposes by the Pharmacy and the clinic the assets associated with the history of this establishment, such as pharmacy bottles, scales, mortars, pipettes and other accessories used in this profession.
