The Shop

Eduardo Carneiro is a goldsmith shop with more than 100 years o existence. Here, you can find all kinds of traditional goldsmith works, including the famous gold filigree.
The façade is ornamented with columns and chapiters, as well as painted glass that catchesthe eye of people passing by. This store is a reference concerning quality and tradition in Portuguese goldsmith, exhibiting an array of pieces – both simple and extravagant.

Shop History

Eduardo Carneiro’s store is more than 100 years old. Although it is registered as having opened in 1918, it has a history rooted in times a lot further back than that.
It all began when a young man came from Santo Tirso to Porto in order to venture into the world of jewellery, joining him soon after, was his youngest brother, Eduardo Carneiro, whose name currently rests over the door of the building. Down through the years, this house of one hundred years has been dedicating itself to the sale of gold and silver, as well as advising so many of its loyal clients new and old.
