The Shop

The store’s spatiality was totally remodeled in the 1980s. It preserves the iconic facade of the late 1920s in iron and glass.

Shop History

Founded in 1891 by Joaquim and Artur Lourenço. In 1917, they expand the business, in an area adjacent to the store, with the opening of a typography and begin the manufacture of envelopes. Later they also dedicate themselves to the binding, lithography, engraving and cartonage. In 1928 opens the store of Rua Aúrea. Papelaria Fernandes continues to be a reference in the area of stationery in Lisbon.
