The Shop

Located 10 minutes from the centre of Braga, at Casa Garrafinha, Jeremias and Lucinda have taken care of every detail so that the atmosphere reflects the tradition and charm of Portuguese flavours. One of the most special touches is the wine cellar, decorated with green wine casks that recall the vineyards where the wines they serve so proudly come from.

Shop History

Jeremias and Lucinda were a couple in love, united not only by their love for each other, but also by a deep admiration for Portuguese culture and gastronomy.
Both from Vila Verde, they discovered from their first meetings that they shared a love of fine wines and a passion for Portuguese cuisine. The simplicity and authenticity of typical dishes such as bacalhau à Braga, pica no chão, papas de sarrabulho… aroused emotional memories in them. With each new dish and each bottle of vinho verde shared, the dream of opening a restaurant grew and grew stronger. And so the idea matured and they decided to take the plunge. The doors of their restaurant opened in 1989.
These old wooden casks, arranged harmoniously around the cellar, tell stories of the past and convey the care with which the wine is treated at every stage. In addition to their decorative value, the casks bring a subtle aroma that blends into the ambience, complementing the customer experience and giving the space a rustic and authentic atmosphere, feeling like the soul of northern Portugal.
