The Shop

The vaulted ceiling and the upper part of pillars that support it characterize the spatiality of this "half floor" where the shop is located. It was affixed a floor to a lozenge-like composition and the old "kitchen chimney" was turned into a stove. These elements give the space an ambience of true living room.

Shop History

The Carmo store has been open since 1990. However, the history of Salão Musical dates back to 1958, the year in which António Costa opened the 1st store in Rua dos Anjos, 37.
